June 19, 2017, sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Shenzhen Trade Promotion Committee hosted the “China (Shenzhen) – Ethiopia trade and investment promotion and Shenzhen boutique exhibition” in the Ethiopian capital of Adams Abe Baba was successfully held. This is the first time in May this year, “one side of the road” international cooperation summit forum, the Chinese side held the first economic and trade exchanges in Ethiopia. More than 200 Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs to participate.
Chinese ambassador to Ethiopia, Lanyi Fan, was invited to attend the event and met with Vice President Lu Pengqi and Vice Mayor of Shenzhen Chen Biao. Ambassador introduced the Ethiopian situation and investment environment, welcomed the Shenzhen enterprises to study the Ethiopian investment environment, strengthen investment and trade cooperation, promote the “one way” construction.
Shenzhen exhibits more than 70 enterprises in Shenzhen, 2000 exhibits on display at the meeting, involving the electronics industry, intelligent equipment and wearable equipment, new energy, biomedical, jewelry watches, clothing and manufacturing. In addition to Ethiopia, the exhibition also attracted from Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and other East African countries, more than 100 business representatives came to the scene, exhibitors and Shenzhen enterprises face to face exchanges.
