Once a year, photovoltaic people once again gathered in Shanghai, together with the grandest feast of photovoltaic technology – June 3, SNEC 15th (2021) International Solar Photovoltaic and Intelligent Energy (Shanghai) Exhibition officially opened. As the world’s most influential photovoltaic event, the site gathered many industry giants to showcase the latest technological achievements in the field. Former State Council Counsellor, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Shi Dinghuan, President of Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics, Guan Weiyong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Tan Tianwei and other guests cut the ribbon for the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition provides an excellent platform for global PV companies to showcase and exchange the latest developments in solar technology. 210 large-size wafers, stacked tiles, heterojunction, chalcogenide, PERC+, TOPCon, HJT cells and other PV frontier technologies are blossoming. The progress of photovoltaic industry cannot be separated from technological breakthroughs. In this exhibition, many exhibitors with a variety of new products, some of these products are more superior performance, some higher power generation efficiency, but these are inseparable from the support of technology changes. Recently, many battery technologies have broken world records, and the power generation efficiency is also breaking records, which show the vigorous vitality of the industry.
