How Solar Panels Work
When electrons flow unidirectionally around a circuit, solar panels generate direct current (DC) electricity. It’s similar to a battery powering a light bulb. Electrons move from the battery’s negative terminal to the light bulb and then return to the battery’s positive terminal.
In alternating current (AC), electrons are pushed and pulled, occasionally changing direction, much like the cylinders in a car engine.
